A little math on this Friday evening...

I've had my phone about a year and a half....so about 547 days.

I looked at the timers on it tonight and I've talked on it for 564 hours which calculates to be 23.5 days.

What this boils down to is that I have talked on the phone for 23.5 days of the last 547 days!

Wow...this isn't even the phone I had when Larry and I first got together! Crazy!!!

I can't stay wordless....

5 days and a wake up

Larry informed me last night that I have five days and a wake up to feel better.

What's in five days and a wake up you ask???

Cody, our dog of 13 years passed away this morning. Sheesh, it sucks! You don't realize how attached you are...

I remember when he was a puppy and Brad and I would hold him forever and my Dad said we would smother him

I remember when he chewed up my expensive Oakley sunglasses

I remember him standing on his hind legs turning in a circle for a bisquit.

I remember his breath smelling minty fresh and realizing he got into my purse for the umpteenth time and found my gum.

I remember how he would run around the house like a mad man

I remember how much he loved chocolate or food in general and how you had to hide everything from him

I remember how he used to tilt his head to one side and it was so incredibly cute.

I remember how he cuddled up to you on the couch

I remember how much of a wimp he was whenever he was hurt

I remember how he would growl at cats or other dogs, thinking he was big and tough

I remember how excited we where when we got him as he was our first doggy.

Rest in peace Cody, we will miss you...

Our fun and NOT formal wedding invitations!

These are so cute and fun! I'm so glad we decided to do this!

Supplies:
plastic bottles
sand
small seashells
cocktail umbrellas
paper (to print your invite on)
jute (to tie around paper)
Tropical scent (put a drop or two in each bottle so the coconut aroma will release when the bottles are opened)

***To answer Tricia's question about mailing them: They are plastic so I printed address labels out, stuck them on the bottle, and they will be mailed with a stamp like a regular letter! If they were glass, they would have to go in a box. We tried to put the same amount of sand and shells in each bottle so the weight will be around the same on each of them. Luckily, my Mom works for the post office and can weigh them for me. We expect them to be around $1.85 each and we plan to just put $2 on each bottle. I plan to hand out several as well. Yes, they are a big expense, but it sets off our wedding theme so well that we couldn't resist. My Mom has offered to pay for the shipping which is very sweet of her.***

Carson was watching Animal Planet the other day, completely intrigued. I asked him if he liked the show because it was about hurt animals and what the veterinarians did to help the animals. He said he liked it so I kind of watched with him to make sure it wasn't too scary/graphic. The part I watched showed a dog who had gotten into it's owner's tackle box and had a huge fish hook through it's mouth. They had to put the dog under to get it out, etc.

I said to him "You could be a veterinarian when you grow up."

He replied with a scowl on his face "But, I want to eat meat!"

I said "No honey, that's a VEGetarian, a veterinarian is a doctor for animals."

He said "So veterinarian's can eat meat?"

"Yes"

"Hmmm...maybe I will be one then!"

He is so damn funny!

4 months!

Four months from today I will finally be Mrs. Weyer! Time is moving fast and slow at the same time. Fast when I have a lot to do and slow when I can't wait for the day to get here.

I imagine there will be more projects posted here in the very near future...meaning I need to make the invitations! I have all the supplies, I just need to print the invitations out and well....make them. LOL!

My Mom is giving me a bridal shower and the theme is black and white damask with pink (of course!) accents! She made my invites and they are sooooo cute! Just had to share!!!


I have the best Mom ever! She is spoiling me, she knows how much I love matchy matchy stuff and sets (which is hereditary, I got it from her!) that she ordered damask return address labels too!

Chase's bowling Birthday!

We attended Chase's 7th Birthday party today and boy was it loud! Ten little boys bowling is busy to say the least. The bowling alley was cool though...each boy received a corn dog, bag of chips, pop, ice cream, goody bag, 2 games of bowling, and shoe rental! Add in cake and they have created a sugar high! LOL!

Motivation to not each chips or to only allow myself 8 chips as I've done a few times the past week.

My sweet little Adam...

who really isn't so little anymore, but he's still my baby!

They are learning all about snow and winter in pre-school for the next few weeks and today when I picked him up he had the cutest project! It's a "snowman" made out of 3 large marshmallows with white frosting to hold them together. His snowman has pretzel sticks for arms and chocolate chips for eyes. He had a fruit roll-up cut into a slice for a scarf and he was sitting on a chocolate graham cracker. Of course, Adam had a lot of this project left on his face! LOL!

Let me say that a few weeks ago we had a crap ton of snow and ice and Adam hated the ice. He slipped and fell and ever since then he must hold a hand if there is any sign of ice! He would ask every day..."Is it melted yet?" Awwww!

After I picked him up, we were walking to the van when he said "Is it melting?" in a sad/scared little voice. "No, honey this won't melt" I answered. Then he asked "Can I eat him?" "Yes honey you may eat the snowman!" LOL! It just tickled me! He is so darn cute!

Monday Monday....

I usually have Monday off which is great because I can get a lot more done with everyone at work and school. It's so odd at the same time though. I'm only alone for three hours while Adam is at pre-school, but I will admit that cartoons are usually on in the background (or news if I'm feeling adult-ish). I generally try to grab a cup of coffee and veg out for a few and then take my shower without anyone barging in to tattle on their brother! I feel guilty during this time and honestly why should I feel guilty? I work 40 hours per week, I do all the laundry, all the dishes, most of the cooking, etc. so I deserve a little "me" time, yet I still feel guilt. I've decided that one of the joys of being a Mom is feeling guilty a lot of the time. That part sucks!

I have a lot of things I want to accomplish today....

• Call officiant for wedding
• Call bar tender/alcohol supplier for wedding
• Mail letter for Larry
• Make edamame
• Make Carson's lunches for the week
• Dishes
• Laundry
• Garbage-collect inside and put at the curb
• separate bags of pretzels and chex mix into 100 calorie snack bags for my lunches
• Drink 54 oz. of water at least
• Make dinner
• Clean out fridge of old expired food

I think that's it for now. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, but I'm pretty sure I need to get off of the computer and start on this list....

A little Sunday shopping!

I'm way excited because I got a lot done today!

1st stop: Paper Zone, I found parchment paper for the wedding invites. Score!!! My Mom found way cute black and white damask paper sheets to use as centerpieces at my shower. They are perfect and I think I have a slight obsession with damask.

2nd stop: Michael's, I found silk type flowers and brad's to decorate my lauhala boxes with. My Mom found damask letters that we promptly opened the box to see how many words we can create. LOL!

3rd stop: Party City, my Mom purchased a black table cloth for my shower

4th stop: Staples, Mom bought a printer cartridge

5th stop: Lowe's, I purchased two 50lb. bags of sand. Mom and I got a short lesson on the different types of sand and went with playground sand. After our lesson, we debated making a beach trip, but we persevered! I hate Lowe's...too much a man store for me!

6th stop: World Market, Mom bought a damask box. I'm so spoiled.

7th stop: Burger King, I only had a chicken sandwich...no fries or pop! I took water to drink like a good girl!

8th stop: Craft Warehouse, My Mom had a ton o' fun! My shower is going to be so pretty!!! We bought candles, silk hot pink flowers, glass candle holders, water marbles, and all sorts of pretty decorations!

9th stop: Shop-Ko, My Mom bought some random stuff

10th stop: Wal-mart, I found labels, jute, and glue for the making of my invitations. I bought some other random stuff as did my Mom including damask invitations for my shower.

11th stop: Taco Bell, had to pick up dinner for my Larry and I got myself two tacos.

Then HOME!

Ugly dolls....

Larry likes them. I could care less. LOL!

BUT, I bought him two for his Valentine's gift. I just need to come up with something for these 7 inch ugly dolls to hold. BTW, they are a collector's item! LOL!

Kid table items for the wedding

We are having a kids table because well, we have kids and we know a lot of kids! This day should be fun for them too! I know that some of the items are frivolous, but they were cute and I think they will keep the kids somewhat entertained. Add in food, cake, and music and they should be happy campers!

Centerpiece inspiration

I'm not using a glass jar with skittles as the base though! Anyone who has an 8 yr old and 5 yr. old knows that baby would be broken within minutes. Instead I'm using a silver metal sand pail with sand, but it will still have the lollipop top! I will have to tie ribbon around the pail or something and WAA-LAA...a cute and functional kid's table!

New Years Re-cap

We watched The House Bunny and Eagle Eye. House Bunny was better than I expected it to be...still silly stupid, but funny. Eagle Eye was an awesome movie! I'm not usually an action movie lover, but it was soooooo good.

We had our roast beef french dip sandwiches, which were so yummy! I made my artichoke dip, but we were so full from sandwiches that we didn't eat much of it. We didn't get to our cheap champagne either! LOL! Larry even got to use his new Ove Glove to get the dip out of the oven. Check out my previous post for the pictures!

After our two movies, we watched the different New Years Eve specials, watched the ball drop, and kissed in the New Year. Then we watched Speeders (t.v. show with cops who catch people speeding) and headed to bed around 1 a.m.

New Years Day we slept in...ahhhh! I went into Salem and had a pedicure, which was wonderful. I picked up the boys from their Dad and headed home. We had steak and veggies for dinner and watched the boob tube! LOL!

Larry has been quite irritable lately....I think he is stressed about money. We are refinancing our house (signed papers this a.m.) and our wedding is quickly approaching. His job is really up in the air with JP Morgan Chase buying Washington Mutual as far as how his pay will work. I just got a bill from the I.R.S. for $1311.00 so that kind of sucks. We are paying our bills just fine, it's just all the extras that we need to pay for(WEDDING!). Then when you get extra bills in the mail it kind of defleats you. I seem to keep getting those too ($1300 from OHSU for Adam's surgery(I got it knocked down to $474), $1311 from the IRS, $271 from the dentist, etc.) . Poor Larry....little did he know that he just got involved with one spendy chick and her two chick-a-dudes! LOL!

I know everything will work out, it's just getting to that point....
