Glue fest

Yesterday we had a little glue fest over at my Mom's. Why you ask?

So the palm tree tops would stay on the base and not fall off!
96 of these bad boys!

and so the "medallions" would stay on the ribbon and not fall off!
Only 8 of these!

Let's just thank God that glue dries clear! LOL!

Rest in Peace Casey

My Mom's dog passed away this morning...

He was definitely devoted to my Mom and followed her around everywhere!

It all started the day we got him, he was EXTREMELY leary of us UNTIL my Mom gave him 1/2 of a quarter pounder! They were fast friends from there on out! LOL!

Casey wasn't as much of a people person as Cody, but he had his own sweet little personality.

He was protective and didn't like anyone wearing a baseball cap, he had a mean growl and bark.

Casey will be missed!

Flashback Friday

These pictures are from August 2005! I don't know why, but the last picture popped into my head and I decided I needed to share!

The cutest freakin' shorts EVER...

This is what the boys will be wearing for the wedding! I will most likely buy white Gap polos (maybe light blue) to go with them.

UPDATED TO ADD:

Just bought these shirts to go with!

Sun=Energy on this "Sun"day!

I've gotten a lot done today!

I organized the boys' closets and dressers. Got rid of the "too small stuff" in Adam's room. Moved Carson's "too small stuff" into Adam's room. Hung up and put away new Summer clothing. Realized Adam has WAY TOO MANY clothes and Carson has LITERALLY NOTHING and what he does have is blue! LOL!

Carson has grown out of a lot of his stuff, ruined a lot of his stuff, and basically just needs more BIG BOY stuff. I can't believe he is a size 8.

PROOF:

Here is Carson's closet! Now it may look like he has a lot, but literally 10-12 of those shirts are from last Summer and I highly doubt they are going to fit him. He has had a major growth spurt!

Adam has a lot of stuff mainly due to hand-me-downs from Carson. I'm not joking when I say though...I think he has enough short sleeved shirts to last 30 days! He has a wide range of colors going on though unlike Carson's ALL BLUE (with one yellow shirt)! LOL!

PROOF:

Here is Adam's closet. The long sleeved shirts are worse as he has sizes 5-7 in his closet!

I've also done laundry(folded and put away!), dishes, tanning, grocery shopping, walked my Mom's dog, napped, etc.

Now Larry is going to make us steak, potatoes, and veggies for dinner and we are going to watch Slumdog Millionaire and Celebrity Apprentice...

Ahhhh...why must the weekends go so fast?

Retirement Party #2

My Mom retired March 31st and we had her 2nd retirement party this evening. We had a fun time; Larry and I even danced! Here are a few pictures...

Centerpiece #3 & Bouquet vase

I shared centerpiece #1 and #2 a few weeks ago so I'm finally getting to making/sharing #3

Picture whole lemons and limes inside the cylinder vase to complete the "look"

Close up

Then we have my bouquet vase which is VERY similar to Centerpiece #3! The centerpieces have pink ribbon around the vase where the bouquet vase has striped ribbon.

Pretty pressies!

I got so many thoughtful presents at my shower the other day...a lot of gift cards which I have been spending like crazy! LOL! I have almost all of my dishes from Target now! I LOVE matching sets and am almost obsessive about them; having almost all of my dish set makes me a happy girl! You can blame this obsessive behavior on my Mama! LOL!

Here are my dishes...

Back to the point of my post...!!!

There are talented people out there who actually MAKE things! These items are always so precious to me because I am not crafty what-so-ever (except maybe scrapbooking)! Anyway, I want to share my hand made gifts...in pictures of course!

Pretty tulips from Heidi! So, they aren't exactly hand made, but they are so pretty!

The cutest pillow EVER made by Cathy!

Lisa made me the cute apron and dish towels below. The gloves aren't hand made, but they were too cute not to share!

Speaking of presents, Larry came home with the prettiest bracelets and a "quiet" hair dryer for me last night! For no reason at all! Awwwww! I love him!

Hoppy Easter Peeps!

How is that for a cheesy title? LOL!

We aren't doing much today! The boys' got their baskets and have been busy playing with their new toys! I've made a "brunch" of potatoes and sausage links wrapped in crescent rolls. It's a lazy day here...

Bridal shower

My Bridal shower was yesterday and everyone was so thoughtful and generous!

Invitation:

The cake and decor:

One of the games was to make lingerie using tissue paper/stickers/brads/ribbon/etc. I got to choose the best piece of lingerie. Not many participated, but the ones who did I was so impressed with!

The "paper lingerie" game:

The festivities:

Sherri, Grandma, Colleen, Ruth, and Teresa

Becky, Cathy, My Mom, and poor Sherri got cut off

My work girls-Debbie, Lisa, Me, Melissa, and Mitzi

We figured there were 19 guests and one who dropped a gift by, it was a packed house! I'm bummed because I didn't get a picture of everyone like my sister-in-law Ryan and just one picture of my Mom, but maybe someone else got one on their camera...

New glasses

It's VERY hard to pick out a pair of glasses for a five year old!

Here is what we went with though...

(Of course, Adam had to make the silly face to distract me from what the glasses actually look like!)

After we picked out the glasses, we looked around the store for a bit and after a few minutes Adam asks "I can't see with those pictures on the glasses, can you take them off?" Awww! He is too darn cute! I explained that they were stickers on the display glasses and his wouldn't have the "pictures" on them!

So, in a week we will have new more rectangular glasses!

Edited to add:

He is getting new glasses because his vision has improved tremendously! WOOT! They are surprised he can see out of his current glasses because they are so not the right prescription anymore! He did so well during the exam...he knew all of the letters and paid attention/didn't lose interest. They used pictures before and some of them were old school...like a rotary type telephone and we had to explain to him what it was. We don't own a phone like that, just cell phones so I think the letters are almost easier for him.

Here is a picture during his appt. the other day...

(I'm sure the 4 doctors/students that were examining Adam thought I was crazy to take pictures!)
