Our neighbors, Joy and Lorne invited us to go with them to the ceviche fest yesterday. It was VERY hot and there was little shade. We visited several booths, tried the ceviche, and then I didn't feel well. We went to Patio Peninsula to sit down, get a drink, and cool off. That helped tremendously and I felt better almost instantly. We had a good time and actually liked the ceviche!
Adam was set to visit July 8-15, but about five days into his trip we extended his visit to July 21st. We had a really fun time. We did so much stuff! We visited the malecon a few times, went to Tecolote beach twice, shopped at the segundas, swam in the community pool, hung out on our rooftop, and more! Larry and Adam both got tattoos too!
Adam brought me Crumbl cookies, Laffy Taffy, and dirty shoes to wash! Ha ha ha! It was nice to 'Mom' again with cleaning shoes, making cinnamon toast, doing laundry, and waking him up early when we needed to get to the beach. Larry cooked several delicious meals and we ate out a few times too. I made the creature comforts...spaghetti and macaroni & cheese.
My favorite memory from his trip is the night all three of us stayed up late, playing songs for each other to see if we could guess the singer/band, and all three of us singing every word to Ice Cube's 'It was a Good Day!" Gong to miss this kid...until next time...
Larry and I hung out on our roof last night thinking we might see a few fireworks, but nope! Independence Day is September 16th here, so it was just a regular night.
