Adam's Senior Pictures

 We received Adam's senior picture package this week!  So many great pictures to go through.  I think he looks more himself and relaxed in the football pictures.  They are all awesome though.

Taylor's 6th Birthday

 We had Trisha, Taylor, and Nate over on Saturday evening to celebrate Taylor's sixth Birthday.  Curt came over too.  We had pizza and cupcakes.  Taylor got to open presents.  It was pretty low key.

Adam-Football 09/24/2021

This week was an away game at Corvallis.  Adam didn't play due to a sprained ankle and didn't dress down.  I have no pictures...sad.  Central lost 14-19.

Date Day at Ankeny

 Larry and I had a little date day yesterday.  We started off with pizza and wine at Ankeny Vineyards.  Afterwards, we stopped at the store to pick up steaks and sides for the evening.

Adam-Football 09/17/2021

 This week was a bit of a rough one.  Adam broke his finger in last week's game.  After two visits to the Dr., getting the finger casted in hopes to play, and having them wrap the cast like crazy he ended up going in the game for one play.  Adam wasn't happy.  It wasn't the best game and Central lost 31-21 to Lebanon.

Carson's New Car

Carson was in a car accident on August 4th where his car was totaled.  Luckily, he wasn't hurt and he walked away with one bruise.  The person he hit was okay too.  After all the insurance settled, it was time to get a new car.  Carson leased a 2022 Kia K5.  This is the same car he had before, but a year newer and it looks sportier.  He had to write a check for the down payment, which was pretty funny because he has never written a check before.

 

Adam-Football 09/10/2021

 This week's game was an away game at Sam Barlow High School.  This is one of the two games we planned on missing; we opted to watch online at home.

We saw Adam make an awesome touchdown catch in the end zone and heard the announcer say his name!  The online coverage ended shortly after that, but we were so glad to see Adam's catch.  In the picture attached, he is the first player in white with his arm up like "throw to me!"  Ultimately, they ended up losing 44-28 and Adam obtained an injury...more to come on that.

First Day of School-Adam

 A few weeks ago we got Adam all registered for school and today was his first day back.  He hasn't been in a physical classroom since March 13, 2020 so this is kind of a big deal!  His whole junior year was completed online/virtually.  

Here's to a healthy senior year full of memories...

Gilgamesh Double Date

Yesterday, we met up with Brad and Ryan for food and drinks at Gilgamesh.  We were kind of celebrating Brad's 40th Birthday which is September 8th.  We had a good time and a lot of beer was consumed.

Adam-Football 09/03/2021

I thought I was going to do one big post for the football season, but I have so many pictures from the first game!  Also, how is there a game before school even starts?!?!?

Central played Redmond at home last night.  They were down 18-7 at halftime.  Third quarter was Central's time to shine though!  Adam had the first interception and ran it for around 15 yards.  We were all screaming!  So exciting.  They had several more interceptions within minutes.  They were up 40-24 with 6:22 left in the 4th quarter when all the lights went out!  We had to wait 10-15 minutes for them to come back on and then it was pretty uneventful.  Final score was 40-24.
