After thunderstorms every day last week and tons of warnings, we were prepared for the worst this weekend with Hurricane Hilary. I made a big pot of chili and cornbread and we just kind of hunkered down, minus Larry laying in the rain at the beginning of the storm. It was windy, but honestly I've experienced many Oregon storms that were worse. We lost power for about two hours. Our turf blew up in one area; we have already been in contact with the landscaping company to repair it. After the storm was over, we had the most beautiful sunset.
Beef (Jason) and Danielle came to visit! They are the first visitors to fly into La Paz which was super convenient as the La Paz airport is five minutes from our house!
We had so much fun with them! We visited the beach, celebrated Danielle's Birthday at Tres Virgenes, explored the malecon, spent hours in the pool, drank a lot on our roof, experimented with different bloody mary recipes, got tattoos, and so much more.
