Thanksgiving

We had a nice, low key Thanksgiving Day yesterday.  The boys were with their Dad and Larry's Uncle Curt was sick, so it was just Larry, myself, my Mom, Larry's Mom, Trisha, and Taylor.  Larry did the majority of the cooking while I did important things like taking selfies!  Ha!  Larry's Mom brought the yummiest dinner rolls and my Mom created the cutest meat & cheese platter!  Of course, Taylor was our main source of entertainment!  Throw in some lazy dogs for good measure! 

McDonald-Dunn Research Forest Hike

 After a week of dreary cold weather, we had sun today!  It was gorgeous!  We had planned to go on a hike and get some of Ranger's energy out all week long.  The weather cooperated.  We ended up at McDonald-Dunn research forest between Adair Village, OR and Corvallis, OR.  This is pretty close to home which is great because Ranger is known to get car sick.  We lucked out today though and no sickness!  

We took my new selfie stick which is a new form of entertainment for us!  Ha!  We walked about 3.5 miles and we were there over an hour and a half.  We stopped several times attempting to train Ranger (no luck!) and to take pictures.  It was an interesting hike because there was a lake, logging areas, training areas, etc.  Ranger pulled us the whole way, but we got home and he crashed!  Mission accomplished with wearing him out! 

Carson's Birthday

Carson had a sleepover to celebrate his 15th Birthday.  He had three friends spend the night...Caedmon, Maynard, and Brian.  Yes those are their real names!  Ha!  We had pizza, candy, Doritos, root beer floats, and pancakes and sausage for breakfast.  They stayed up all night, but remained fairly calm.  Larry and I were able to get some sleep!

On Carson's actual Birthday, I picked him up from school a bit early so we could go to DMV.  He passed his test and now owns a permit!  I'm so not ready for all of this!  He was pretty excited!  We had to get a celebratory Starbucks afterward!

Dinner With Friends

Last night, we had dinner at Table Five08 in Salem.  We had great service, yummy drinks, and delicious food.  Corey and Melody met us there.  Three out of four of us had steak, Larry had macaroni and cheese.  We had dessert too.   It was a fun evening.
