Sold the Jeep!
We sold our Jeep today. It's a little bittersweet as the original plan was to take the Jeep to Mexico with us. We ultimately decided that the import tax would be too costly and the long drive down the baja peninsula with the dogs would be too stressful. Things are getting more real!!!
*This is a delayed post as we didn't announce our move to Mexico publicly until March 7,2023*

Oregon Coast Day
Yesterday, my Mom and I went to the beach. We had such a nice day with perfect weather! We drove to Depoe Bay to watch the ocean. We thought it would be cold, but it turned out to be such a nice day. As we were getting a few pictures we heard someone say "Is that Sue?" It was one of my Mom's longtime friends, Annie Wiese. What a nice surprise! After chatting for a bit, we went our separate ways. Mom and I went on to have lunch at Kylo's, where they sat us at the largest table. We thought it was so funny and had to get a picture. The sun was much needed and the time spent together was excellent!

Muddy Dogs
Just have to document how wet and muddy the dogs got today. Scout especially! Typical rainy, cold, and wet Oregon winter. Sigh...

Surprise Party for Cheryl
We went to Cheryl's surprise 40th Birthday party last night. We took Adam's rig so it could get some use since he's in Weed, CA and so she wouldn't recognize our car. Of course, it was on EMPTY so we put some gas in it. The party was at The Brew in downtown Independence so literally three minutes from our house. The party was in an outdoor area, but warmed up quickly with all the bodies. They helped decorate before Aaron and Cheryl arrived. Their family brought tacos, sides, and desserts. Aaron had a cake for Cheryl too. Fun evening!

Visiting Grandma & Grandpa
Mom and I came up with the idea that we should visit Grandma and Grandpa's gravesite, so we made that happen yesterday. We stopped at Howard and Colleen's on the way so they could drive us up to Camas, Washington with us. We got lucky weather wise-it was sunny and not windy. We went to lunch afterwards and had a nice visit. My Great Grandpa and Grandma are buried there too.

"It Looks Like a Cocktail Onion!"
I have had a cyst on the back of my right knee for quite some time and the dermatologist wanted to remove it because of its location. He was afraid that if I were to sit back in a chair and bump it just right, it would burst and cause issues. Yesterday was the day of removal! Larry took me and they let him stay in the room while the procedure took place. I was very numb, but could hear the snipping of scissors and feel a little tugging. Here are some of Larry's comments:
"I thought there would be more blood."
"We could put a charm in there like a build-a-bear!"
"It looks like a cocktail onion."
They asked if I wanted to see it and I answered yes; it did look like a cocktail onion. The Dr. proceeded to stitch me up and show Larry the different stitches. Larry is extra confident now that he could stitch someone up if needed. Ha ha ha! I am on the mend. Doesn't hurt unless a dog jumps up on it or I sit too far back in a chair. Including a picture of the stitches from this morning.
