Lazy Weekend

We had a pretty lazy weekend.  I worked on Saturday which kind of makes planning anything hard.  Taylor spent the night Friday night and spent all day with us on Saturday.  Larry had her while I went to work and I got the funniest text ever!  Ha ha ha!  He survived though!  Today, we just watched football, napped, watched some Netflix, did laundry, etc.

Taylor's Birthday Weekend

On Saturday, Larry and I went to lunch and to get my eyes checked.  He was my driver because once my eyes are dilated...I am done for a few hours.  We came home, drank wine, and he cooked me an amazing dinner of steak, pasta, and stuffed mushrooms.

On Sunday, we went to Taylor's third Birthday party at Gilbert House Children's Museum.  It was a gorgeous day to play on their outdoor play equipment.  Taylor was so cute!  We gave her a large stuffed dragon, a Gap dress with navy stripes on top and a chambray bottom, and some high top navy converse.  

Carson's Senior Picture Session

I had been looking forward to this, Carson hadn't.  Ha ha ha!  After a few re-schedules and location changes, we ended up at the perfect location.  The weather was perfect too!   Felicia (Feedlebee Photography) was awesome with Carson and put him at ease right away.  She was familiar with choir/theatre and asked the best questions.  Carson ended up really enjoying the session!  It was a totally fun experience and I got some quality time with Carson on the drive to and from.  We can't wait to see the finished product!

Wine Weekend

Larry and I visited a new to us winery on Saturday, Bjornson Vineyards.  We loved it there and had amazing service!  So amazing that we became members!  It's a cute little building that's warm and cozy inside.  Great experience and I can't wait to visit more.  On Sunday, I made a turkey dinner with all the traditional sides.  Besides that, we did our typical lazy/football/laundry/couch day.

Football Weekend

On Friday, we went to Erik (Taylor) and Sara's wedding which was a lot of fun.  We got some great pictures in their photo booth!  Ha ha ha!  I worked on Saturday and then we went to my Mom's for a Birthday BBQ for my brother, Brad.  I attempted to take one picture of the cake and my phone dropped INTO the cake!  I grounded myself after that!  Sunday, was the first official Sunday of NFL football so we stayed home and watched!  I got a cute picture of Scout enjoying our lazy football Sunday!

 

 

First Day of School

Adam started school on Wednesday, September 5th and Carson started on Thursday, September 6th.  The freshmen go a day before the upper class men to get a better feel for their schedule and classroom locations.

Labor Day Weekend

We had a fun long weekend.  Friday evening we attended Garrett and Kaitlyn's (Taray) wedding, but oddly enough...I took zero pictures.  On Saturday, Larry golfed and I ran some last minute back to school errands.  Sunday, Larry and I went to Ankeny Vineyards for wine and pizza.  It was a nice afternoon, but you could tell fall was in the air as it was a little chili.  Monday, we met Corey and Melody at the golf course in Woodburn so the boys could play 18 holes.  The ladies were the drivers!  We even saw a coyote while there.

The boys were in and out as they spent part of the weekend with their Dad, but Carson was able to paint his parking spot at the school.  It turned out pretty well for putting together at the last minute.

Even though it was a long weekend, it went fast!
