First we went to Bonneville Dam and checked out the fish ladder, hatchery, and saw the dam.

Then we went on to see Multnomah Falls

We hiked up to the bridge...

 And back down again...

We stopped at the Vista House and saw some amazing views of the Columbia River Gorge

Our last stop was Shari's for lunch and then we headed home.

Dog days of summer

The boys were gone for two weeks to visit their Dad.  I saw Carson a few times for school registration, but we were pretty lazy and boring without them around!  Corey came to stay with us for a bit.  We swam in the pool one day.  Larry and Corey had a competition of staying on the floaty while going in backwards, frontwards, etc.  Entertaining stuff!

We went to a BBQ at Tom and Heidi's house.  The band Larry used to play in performed and we had some excellent food.  Zack even shared a juice box with Larry.

I attempted to do some school supply shopping, but Walmart was out of colored pencils, protractors, compasses, and three hole zipper pouches.  I eventually found those items at Bi-mart.

We had a salad potluck at work that was super delicious!

Here we go...middle school!

Last night we went to middle school registration!  It's so hard to believe that the seven pound baby I delivered almost 12 years ago is going to middle school.

I paid a small fortune for an I.D. card, yearbook, and school pictures.  We got his schedule, school supply list, and a lot of other information.

After the registration, we had a Taco Bell dinner date!

Love letter

The boys left for their two week visit with their Dad yesterday morning.  I did some errands around the house, laid in the pool, etc.  Later that evening I found a note on top of the stairs from my precious Adam.  Talk about melting my heart...

Blah Beach Day...

We drove to the beach yesterday and it was one of those trips that just didn't go as planned.  The traffic was terrible, stop and go for miles.  We arrived at the restaurant where we wanted to eat and it was closed so we had to venture back into the traffic.  We finally went to another restaurant, we all knew what we wanted except for Adam who was being a pain in the ass.  We were all hungry so patience wasn't really happening.

We finally got our food and moods improved quite a bit.  Adam got a Mt. Dew and kept calling it his wife since he LOVES Mt. Dew.  Carson ate a huge stack of pancakes, I had an awesome bacon and cheese omelet, and Larry had pancakes with strawberries on top.

After we ate we headed to the beach.  It was very crowded!  I've never seen an Oregon beach with so many people.  It was so cold though!  It was foggy and hazy, as in we could barely see the water.  It was windy and the boys were throwing sand that ended up in our eyes, hair, ears, etc.  We basically laid on the sand with our towels and our one blanket covering us.  It was freezing!  We were maybe there half an hour before I called it quits!

We decided to stop and play at Regatta Park where it was much warmer.  We weren't there for long either because the boys are "too old" for parks.

We got stuck in stopped traffic on the way home.  Someone had to go potty so we had to pull over.  This was probably the funniest part of the whole day because I took this picture and the look he gave me!
