Happy Retirement Mom!

Today was my Mom's last day of work after 35 1/2 years with the postal service! I'm so proud of her and excited for her as she starts a new chapter in her life!

I think this picture is a little too close and way over-exposed, but I love our eyes so it's being included.

Glider ride from Larry & Adam's point of view...and the mega zoom on the camera!

Larry told us to act scared...we aren't very good actors!

Glider ride!

Carson and I went on a glider ride today! Larry's Mom purchased a gift certificate for us to go on a glider ride for Christmas 2007, of course I just found the gift certificate the other day and noticed that it expired April 1, 2009. I mention it to Larry and he says that he and Trisha have already gone and Carson and I should go. I wasn't sure about Carson going, but I mention it to him and he was way stoked!

He was even trash talking saying that whoever chickened out had to scrub the other's feet, etc. Well, he knows that I have pretty feet and he has fungus toe nails! What a little stinker!

So, we went today. Basically a plane pulls you up way high in the air and then "un-hooks" the glider. When we un-hooked we dropped several feet, Carson gasped and looked nervous, so I said "Wooooo!" to make him realize it was okay and that I was having fun. Then we glided down and landed.

It felt like 5 minutes, but Larry says we were up there for over 20 minutes and he & Adam couldn't see the glider up in the sky because we were so high. We both had motion sickness afterward, but a stop for lunch and we were both fine!

AND I took video with my new Blackberry! It's a little bumpy, but hey I was on the glider ride too, dropping several feet, weaving around to land, etc.

I got a picture of us too...

My new baby...

A PINK BLACKBERRY CURVE!

I love it! I can check my e-mail on it, I can go to myspace or facebook on it, it has a ton of features I'm not even sure how to use yet. Larry and I can message back and forth on it (almost like texting, but more like instant messaging) as much as we want for free. I can google stuff if need be. It beeps everytime I get an e-mail or if someone leaves me a comment on facebook. We were in Wal-mart today and it kept beeping and Carson was like "Your phone rings a lot!" LOL! I may have to change some of the settings so it's not beeping SO much! It can hold a lot of music and has headphones. It's an amazing little gadget.

Summer lovin' had me a blast....

or at least shopping for Summer clothes had me a blast! Hopefully we get to wear them sometime in the near future!

So, I think it's pretty safe to say that I'm picky about my boys' clothing. I used to say "I don't want my babies wearing skulls and flames!", but I have given in on the skulls especially since they are so popular right now and let's face it...cute! LOL! I am against characters on my kids clothing though. I will let them have character underwear and pajamas, but I really don't care for character's on shirts, etc. That is my personal opinion which I had to explain to Carson today; he asked me why I didn't want him to have a Bakkugan shirt, I explained that I thought it looked cheesy. He was good with that answer and on we went...

Anyway, here is most of Adam's summer wardrobe minus jean shorts and a few things that still fit from last summer. I want to point out my bargains though! LOL! The tan shorts were $3.00 Old Navy clearance, The Nike shorts were $5.99 and the orange Wal-mart shirt was $3.50, I splurged on the tan Gap shorts with whales and crabs embroidered on them at $9.99, The red polo is Gap also and I think I paid $7ish for it, The Old Navy patchwork shorts were $3.00 clearance, and I had to buy the alligator swim trunks (I think it's my last year getting away with cutesie swim trunks)! It's also my last season of sneaking in the occasional 5T which is so much cheaper than the 4-7 size range!

Here is Carson's summer wardrobe. I have a harder time finding deals for him as he is in a size 8 now which is BIG boy clothing. The tan shorts were $3.00 Old Navy clearance and his stripped swim trunks were $3.00 too! He got the $5.99 turquoise Nike shorts, we need to find a shirt to match. I found most of the other stuff at Osh Kosh outlet or Crazy8.com.

Two months

Two months from today is the BIG day!

Seems like everything I do relates to the wedding in one way or another. Today we went to Wal-mart and I of course had to pick up Shocking Pink (a.k.a. hot pink) ribbon and fine tip sharpies (for the guest book). Then we went to the Dollar Store and I bought some glass votive holders and aim & flames to light all these candles.

Things are definitely starting to come together, but there is still a lot left to do. I'm at the point where I just want it to be here so #1 I don't have to think about it anymore (Hey, it's honest!) and #2 So we can be married!

My shower is less than three weeks away so I'm looking forward to that.

Time is dragging and flying at the same time...

Funny boys

My boys say the funniest things and I want to "write" them down so I don't forget them...

The other day, Larry was putting sun tan lotion on my back before I went tanning. I had him do it because I can't reach ALL of my back. I had my shirt lifted in the back and Larry was commenting on my tan line and how white I was on my sides. My belly must have been showing because as I was walking to the bathroom to check out my lines I heard Carson ask "What are those scratches on her tummy? Or what are they???" with a disgusted tone! Larry explained that they were stretch marks from when he and Adam were in my tummy. It was cute and funny at the same time!

I've trained Adam that when I ask "How did you get so cute?" that he answer with "Because I look like you!" It's a little game we play. Last night, he was crawling up into my lap for a goodnight hug and I asked "How did you get so big?" and he automatically answered "Because I look like you!" LMAO! Larry was laughing so hard. It was funny!

I have some pretty darn cute boys with funny personalities!

Another cute project

Adam's pre-school does some of the cutest little projects. Here is what he brought home today

Each child had one and all the colors were so vibrant, especially on this odd snowy/hailing March day.

Burnt boobs

How's that for a title??? LOL!!!

I've been tanning for a little over two weeks now and "the girls" are not happy! I have red dots all over the chest area and it's not fun because they itch! Today I covered them up while I went in the bed for a whole SEVEN minutes! I'm such an albino. My boobs are burnt from 5-6 minutes in the tanning bed. LMAO!

You know how I love pictures in my posts, but I'm afraid the photos would not be G-rated or even PG. Ha ha ha!
