Saturday Surprise

A few moments after Larry left for work this morning,

he called us out to the front yard to see something...

I've never seen these close up before, so

I ran inside to grab my camera when we noticed

the same surprise much closer in our back yard!

are at our back yard's edge

The picture's just don't capture how close they seemed!

I'm certain that if I had yelled to the people

in the basket, they would have heard me!

There were four or five different balloons.

One was so low that the trees in the third picture were

blocking me from taking a picture of it!

The never ending yard project.

Remember the ditch witch and the tillin'? 

Well, after the yard sat as a dirt arena for a month,

we finally laid down sod!


Well, not me...
Larry, our friend Corey, and Carson did!
Adam offered a little of his help as well.

"Corey's Corner"

Corey had to cut the corner piece and it was a big joke

about how much time and effort he put into it,

so I named this part of the yard "Corey's Corner!"

We have some barkdusting and clean-up to do,

but I'm very pleased with the sod!

I hope it "takes" as we are watering it like crazy! 

The "babies" have arrived!

and fabric softener were all ready to go!

Bronchitis!

I woke up a little over a week ago with a sore throat that eventually worked into the yucky nose, achy, fever, cough thing. I literally laid on the couch ALL weekend long.  I went to work each day this week, just not quite "there" if you know what I mean. I was physically there, but not extremely motivated. I was not getting better!

I finally went to the Dr. yesterday and I have bronchitis.  I got my first prescription as a Weyer!  LOL!

I'm home today to rest up!

My new "babies"

We have been saving our wedding money, sort of debating what to spend it on.  Originally, Larry wanted a new washer & dryer and I didn't think we needed them because we have a set (an old mis-matched set) that works.  I was finally convinced though and we finally made our purchase this weekend.

We got married over Memorial Day weekend and
spent our money over Labor Day weekend!  LOL!

We got a really good deal and a few rebates/tax credits too! 
I love rebates! 

Anyway, our new "babies" are due to arrive September 12, 2009!

We purchased the pedestals as well and a five year warranty!
I'm excited to see our water and electric bill after these "babies" arrive!  They use much less water and only take 18 minutes to wash and 18 minutes to dry!
