Charcuterie Date Night

Last night I made us a charcuterie board to enjoy while drinking some wine.  It was a nice day out and the dogs enjoyed some of our food too.

Adam's Surgery

Adam had surgery yesterday to lift the outer corner of his right eyelid and to create a crease in the eyelid.  He didn't remember his previous surgeries so we had to explain getting an I.V. and all the things he would go through.  He wasn't completely put under as they had to wake him during the surgery to make sure the eyelid alignment was correct.  He did a great job and only took two doses of Tylenol afterward.  We are icing the wound regularly and putting ointment on it.

They are so nice at Casey Eye Institute and put up with three parents in the room at all times.  They even asked him what kind of music Adam liked.  Adam answered with Drake and so they played hip hop music in the operating room.  He vaguely remembers them stitching his eye.

He requested beef stroganoff for dinner and that's what he got!

He is a trooper to say the least!

Carson's Graduation Party

We threw Carson a graduation party the day after graduation at Brad and Ryan's house.  There was a great turn out and I was so busy chatting that I forgot to get pictures of everyone that came!  We had a lot of great food...burgers, hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, pink salad, baked beans, fruit, veggies, chips, dip, deviled eggs, cookies, and cake!  Carson received so many generous gifts and it was a fun day celebrating him.  Mr. Witt, Carson's choir and theatre teacher even made an appearance for a little bit (he was attending SEVEN graduation parties that day!).

Carson's Graduation

There was a threat of rain, thunder, and lightning the whole week before graduation.  We all got lucky though and the rain held off!  Carson did get drenched during the rehearsal earlier in the day.  It was not warm by any means, but no rain.  The ceremony was a little over an hour.  I got video of Carson being called and walking across stage, however it wasn't clear enough to capture a picture.  Luckily, a father of one of the seniors is a great photographer and captured the first two pictures posted here.  The first is the graduates walking out to shake the hand of each teacher and the the second is Carson walking on stage to receive his diploma.

The odd weather did make for a great backdrop for the numerous pictures taken!  Carson had his picture taken with so many friends.  I hope many of them are lifelong friends.

I was bursting with pride all evening!  Congratulations to Carson and the whole class of 2019!
