New Years Eve

We went over to Corey and Melody's to celebrate New Years Eve.  We had tons of yummy snacks...chips, salsa, veggies, ranch dip, chocolates, cheese, crackers, etc.  Melody also made real tamales and they were delicious!  We drank too.  Larry just had a few beers when we got there, but I had mudslides, vodka & Sprites, and jello shots.  I paced myself so I didn't get too tipsy though.  We had a fun time talking, listening to music, watching the ball drop, kissing my husband at the stroke of midnight, and watching all the festivities on t.v. after the ball drop.  Larry drove us home around 2 a.m.

Happy New Year!

The Weyer's

This picture makes me laugh because this pose is what we call "Facebook pose" because most teenage girls have their profile pic like this.  I love this man!  I love that we can joke around and that we get each other!

The boys rung in the new year with my Mom.  Apparently Adam fell asleep and they woke him at midnight, but Carson stayed awake!  He watched the ball drop on t.v. and then they banged pots.  Carson thought the banging pots was funny and Adam went back to bed.  LOL!  The picture looks the opposite though...

Christmas goodies

I'm posting all the gifts we received for Christmas as a reminder to us.  I print out my blog each year to keep as a journal of our life.  Twenty years from now I won't remember that Larry got a KISS t-shirt that he loved or that Carson was so excited to get "I survived a Shark Attack" book.  I love to look back each year and see "what we were doing last year at this time?"  Anyway, I'm not trying to brag...just trying to remember.  LOL!  And yes, I know that my kids are ridiculously spoiled.

One last Christmas

Last night we celebrated Christmas with my Dad.  Brad, Ryan, and Chase came over with lasagna.  Dad brought garlic bread and I made a salad and had some pop available.  It was a low key night and was actually quite nice.  My Dad has had some issues in his past (2 DUI's among other issues) so we haven't spent a lot of time with him.  I think we went a year without seeing him.  He seems to be improving which is good.  He brought the boys several gifts!  Legos, a racetrack, remote control cars, fleece sheets, a Lego bench/table, and Chase even got a remote control boat!

The other 18 pictures...

I took the boys to have their pictures taken as a Christmas gift for my Mom and it didn't work out as well as I had hoped.  I only purchased one pose!  There are funny faces, looking away from the camera, and glare from Adam's glasses.  Also, washed out faces.  I partly blame the boys because they were being goofy, but I really think the portrait studio could have done a better job.  Here are the other 18 pictures that we didn't purchase...

Christmas Day

We went to my Mom's for Christmas dinner and more presents!  I forgot our good camera, but thought I was okay because I have my point & shoot.  I took two pictures and the battery died so I used my phone that day.  Not the best quality, but you can still see some of the happenings!

Looking for their presents!

Brad wearing my Mom's new swim cap!

We do a $10 exchange with my side of the family and it's always fun to see what everyone comes up with!

Larry got cologne (from my Mom) and a KISS vinyl album (from Brad) in a frame (from Ryan).

I got a beaded lanyard, luggage tags, & a cute purple ornament (from my Mom).  I also got a pink camp chair (from Ryan) and some cute pajama pants (from Brad).

I didn't get any pictures of my Grandma, cousins, aunt, or uncle....or even myself.  Oh well...

Christmas Morning

SANTA CAME!!!
He drank his milk and took a big bite of his cookie!  The boys and Trisha opened their stockings and few small gifts and then we relaxed/played with our new stuff until it was time to go to my Mom's house for lunch and presents.
