Larry's Birthday

Yesterday, Larry turned 42!!!

We had a day planned of shopping, eating, and movies!

First of all, Larry woke me up at 7 a.m. when I was just turning over because he was so excited to open his presents!  Doesn't sound like a 42 year old, huh?  LOL!  I gave him a $50 scuba gift certificate, three framed vinyl KISS records, and an Ipod wall adapter.  He loved all of it!

We went shopping with the main goal of finding running shoes.  We both want to be better about getting on the treadmill.  Larry didn't have any running shoes and mine were given to me by my ex-husband when Adam was three weeks old so I could "lose weight!"  We both found a pair we liked.

On our way out of the Sporting Goods store we were hit up by some Girl Scouts!  We bought five boxes of cookies!  The treadmill is looking better and better!

We hit up Taco Time for a small lunch, then went to see the movie Hall Pass.  It was good...definitely a guy movie.

After the movie, we went to Best Buy and Border's Book store.  Larry purchased some new headphones and a Scuba book.  Then we were off to the Outback Steakhouse for dinner.  We had alcoholic beverages, a bloomin' onion, steak dinners (Larry had shrimp too), and dessert too!  It was so yummy!

After dinner we went to another movie, Just Go With It.  It was cute and more of a chick flick!

We came home and vegged in front of the t.v. also known as fell asleep in front of the t.v.  Ha!

Larry received ton of Facebook messages....at least 100!  No joke!  He got a $100 scuba gift certificate from my Mom and his Mom gave him a $25 Outback gift card, an Oreo cake, and a nacho dip platter.  At work they made him a Twinkie cake and gave him several bottles of Mountain Dew.  He was spoiled!

Snow much fun!

We woke up to snow this morning...maybe an inch or two.  At first the boys were on a two hour delay for school, but it continued to snow and school was cancelled.  The boys played until it was time to go to daycare.  They played at daycare too!  The snow melted by noon, but we are in for some cold weather.  We are supposed to break record lows in the next few days...

Adam anecdote

Adam was just telling me how his heart was beeping really fast!  He used the word beeping instead of beating more than once!

So cute!  I didn't correct him because it proves he's still a little boy!  He is growing up too fast so I have to hold onto these moments/memories!

Blogged and Printed!

That's right!  I just had all my blog entries from 2010 printed!  I chose a hard cover book with the same theme as my 2009 book!  I got this one for approximately $89.20 after using a coupon code (blog2print.com)!  Not bad!

I plan to continue on and get 2011 printed too!

Shopping Spree

The boys have been saving their Birthday, Christmas, Tooth Fairy, and Valentine's money along with allowance.  Carson wanted the Lego Death Star which is $399.99!  I decided to take the boys to the Lego Store yesterday as they had some gift cards there too.  I picked the boys up early from school which they were completely surprised by.  Adam said "What the...?" when I picked them up.  We walked out towards the car when I told them the good news...we were going to the Lego Store!  They were excited!

Carson had a total of $315.00 saved with all of his money and gift card.  Grandma made him a deal that she would make up the difference, but that would be his Birthday gift this year (his Birthday isn't until November). He agreed almost instantly!

We got to the store and Carson made a bee line to the Death Star. He picked up the box and it was empty as it was a display. He had a sad look on his face when I told him that they probably have them in back since they are so expensive, etc. I asked a store clerk and sure enough...NO LEGO DEATH STARS. Carson was so sad. I went to the front counter to ask about ordering one. I believe the manager of the store was helping us and he was very nice. He could see that Carson had saved all sorts of money, etc. We then found out that the Death Star is back ordered until March 10th. Carson was trying so hard not to cry, but eventually the big crocodile tears came. My poor boy. The Lego Store manager was so sweet and let Carson pick out a mini figure magnet set ($15 value) and gave it to him for free.

Carson finally agreed that we would order the set to be mailed directly to us. We go to pay and the $100 gift cards have a ZERO balance! ACK! We were not having good luck while there! The poor manager had to call around, etc. to get the gift cards to work. We waited a good hour. Luckily the boys had Legos to play with! Carson finally cheered up a bit and I convinced him to pose with the Lego Death Star box!

Everything finally got worked out and we were able to pay and get the Death Star ordered!

Adam chose his Lego set and decided he would buy an Xbox 360 game too.  He was so sweet, he told Carson that he could help him build his set (a large police station) and help to pick out the Xbox game.  It's really nice when they get along.

Now we will be anxiously awaiting the Death Star's arrival!!!

Three years

I wrote a poem to commemorate today...

It says...

Three years ago today, you asked me to be your wife.
Saying yes was the easiest decision of my life!

I couldn't wait to take your name,
Being a Weyer is a claim to fame! =)~

You gave me the most beautiful ring,
I treasure my precious bling!

You were nervous and I'm not sure why...
You knew I would say yes and that's no lie!

J Bella's was the perfect setting, in their private room.
You were so cute down on one knee, my future groom.

You asked our parents to join us for that special dinner.
There was excitement in the air with the candles all a' glimmer.

We had dinner and dessert before you got up to use the "restroom."
You came back instantly and our parents got to watch our love bloom.

We kissed and I smiled so big!
I was so excited, I could have danced a jig!

I love you Larry!
We were meant to marry!

Happy Engage-aversary to us!!!

Valentine's Day!

Larry's present!  I got him two subscriptions for Scuba Diving magazines.  One shipped a PADI dive bag so that's what's folded and wrapped in the bag!

My gift!  I had been wanting a heart rate monitor!  It tells me how many steps I've taken, my heart rate, and will tell me how many calories I burn while working out!  It's also a watch!

The boys gifts!  The cards have $10 each inside!

Carson gave me this paper flower with a sucker inside

Adam made me this cute doggy valentine!

On a side-note, Adam lost his second tooth so the Tooth Fairy paid him another visit with $2.00!  Maybe all the valentine candy contributed to the tooth being lost...?  LOL!

Sunday outing

We had breakfast at Denny's this morning and then went to the mall with the main goal of finding Adam new glasses.  We were there before everything opened so we looked around in Sport Authority.  We tried the elliptical machines, the boys used the golf clubs, and Larry saw a funny cup (as in men's protection) made by a company with the name of Nut Hut!  We laughed and laughed about that!

We finally picked out some glasses for Adam and they had some sort of sale going on so he is getting two pair!

These will be his regular everyday pair

These will be prescription sunglasses with grey lenses.

Larry had him try on these sports type glasses that he did not like!

We then left the mall and headed to the movie theater.  We saw Gnomeo & Juliet which was a super cute movie!  We had candy, popcorn, and icee's!  Thank goodness we had a few gift cards to help with the cost!

February

So far, February has been pretty busy!  Adam had an eye appt. and his vision has improved a little!  WOOT!  We get to pick out new glasses for him and then he needs to be checked out in June to check his eye allignment.  On our way home from OHSU we got stuck in traffic.  There was an accident on the other side of the freeway, but our side had to slow down and look so we were in stop and go traffic for miles.  I'm thankful my Mom drove so I didn't have to deal with that!

What else have we been up to?  We rented The Social Network and thought it was a pretty good movie, we cleaned house for the Superbowl, made a few dips for the Superbowl, collected all of our documents for preparing our taxes, and oh yeah...worked!

Saturday evening, I went with Larry to watch his band practice.  I had a good time.  They have learned a lot of new songs!  I took a few pictures of Larry.  I like the first one because he's moving so fast you can't even see the drumsticks and I like the second because he's drumming one handed with a beer in his other hand.  So typical!

I've been trying to eat healthier and exercise.  On Superbowl Sunday I knew that I needed to hit the treadmill so I could eat a few extra snacks.  I did just that!  I walked/ran longer than usual and burnt 450 calories in about 45 minutes!  I need to build up stamina, but I'm working on it!

The Superbowl was fun.  We had Corey, Melody, Debbie, Trisha, and Larry's Dad and Step-Mom over.  We had meatballs, cheese, sausage, crackers, artichoke dip, ranch dip, salsa, chips, Oreo's, M&M's, and other snacks.  The Green Bay Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 31 to 25.  I was happy with that outcome as I don't like the Steelers quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger.
