Days off

I've been trying to do something fun with the boys on my days off this Summer.  Carson isn't digging daycare as much as he used to and gets bored easily.  Luckily, he really likes to read and that keeps him busy, along with the t.v.!  LOL!

Yesterday we ran to the car wash and Wal-mart.  The car wash has a coffee bar inside and I resisted temptation and didn't order anything!  The boys were eyeing the candy and such too, but I had told them that we weren't buying anything.

We usually go somewhere and do something, but yesterday we hung out at home.

They had pizza for lunch, I had veggies and a piece of toast.

We colored with sidewalk chalk...

We worked on a special project that will be revealed at a later date...

Aren't
I
sneaky?

Adam played in the pool...

We had strawberries with whip cream for snack.

I did laundry, the boys watched the movie Jaws, and Adam fell asleep.

Carson took a bath a.k.a. played with his boat.

We had spaghetti and brocolli for dinner.

The boys played outside. Larry and I played on the computer.

Days off go so quickly...maybe because we do so much during them...

Mobile Monday

The book I read in less than a week

We went to Music in the Park where The Gusto Brothers played

A not-so-good picture of Larry and I at the Cherry Jam where his band played.  It was least 95 degrees outside!  Blah!

Camping

We went to Crooked River Ranch for the weekend.  It was fun and tiring all at the same time.

Adam, Carson, Larry, and Trisha setting up camp

The boys at the observation deck

A view from the observation deck

Looking down from the observation deck and very zoomed in!

Copper, Trisha, Adam, Larry, and Carson looking for rabbits!  They are all over and Copper would spot them first and chase them, pulling whoever was holding his leash.

After we did a little exploring, we headed back to our camp and pretty much went to bed.  It was a long night as in I got zero sleep.  Carson was whining and scared at every noise, Copper was restless, we heard trains, etc.  Then in the morning, Carson and Adam had no comprehension that tents do not provide a noise barrier!  LOL!  I got up and gave them donuts and something to keep them quiet.

After everyone woke up, we went on a walk where we saw some wildlife and amazing views.

We went back to our camp-site to cool off and relax for a bit.

Then we hit up the pool for several hours...

We came back to our campsite for lunch...

The boys wanted to go swimming again so Larry took everyone back to the pool while I stayed back with Copper.  I took a nap and read my book.  It was so nice.  After a few hours Trish and Nate returned so I walked over to the pool where the boys were still swimming like little fish.  Larry was in the shade at this point, keeping an eye on both boys.  We talked for a while when we decided to head back to camp.  We were all pretty sunburnt with the exception of the boys who I had lathered up with sunscreen.  Larry and I ran to the store and got more pop and candy for everyone, plus it was a chance for us to get away for a few moments.  We got back and just hung out the rest of the evening...

Larry,Trisha, and Nate threw the football

I got some footage of them throwing the football!

We went to bed and everyone slept way better than the previous night. We woke up, had donuts, took down camp, and headed home.

Fountain Fun!

Yesterday we drove to Wilsonville for a picnic lunch and water play with my Aunt Heather and her kids, Ryan and Miranda (who are technically my cousins).  We had a good time and only got a little sunburnt!
