Back in March, Carson had a consultation to have his wisdom teeth removed. We decided at that point to wait until Summer break to go through with the procedure. He had his teeth pulled on Wednesday, June 22nd. He opted not to be put under and just used laughing gas (he was numb too). He was so normal when he was done; I thought we were in the clear!
We got home, got his first dosage of pain medication in him, and got him comfy cozy in bed. Less than two hours later he was in pain. Looking back, the numbness was probably wearing off. It was too soon for more pain medication and Carson wasn't doing well at all. I felt awful. It's hard to see your baby crying in pain. I finally gave him more pain medication just two and a half hours after his first dosage. We then alternated the Hydrocodone with Ibuprofen. That seemed to help a lot more and it's been smooth sailing since. He has had a ton of ice cream, applesauce, and chicken noodle soup. He had rice last night as we got Chinese take-out. We have been watching a lot of t.v. and even played some Battleship. Fortunately, the day after the procedure was a rainy blah day which helped with the laziness of our household. Ha!
