Larry and I decided months ago to getaway to the beach for a night as our Christmas gift to each other. We got a pretty good deal on our room because it was a mid-week stay. We headed to Lincoln City and the roads were pretty good most of the way. We had lunch at Pig N' Pancake, shopped at the Outlets, drove the Jeep on the beach, and then checked into our room. We drank wine out of mugs in the hot tub while watching the ocean and the sunset. We couldn't see the sun though...it just got dark. The next day we made our way to Drift Creek Falls and had to put the Jeep in 4-wheel drive. It was a beautiful hike, but Larry and I were getting tired before getting to the falls/suspension bridge (halfway mark). There was about a foot of snow making the hike a bit more difficult. We rested while taking a lot of pictures and video of the falls. Then we headed back up the mountain that we had just come down. We finally made it back to the Jeep where we had salami, cheese, and crackers to help us recover. We headed home after the hike as we both wanted to shower and take a nap. We had a fun little getaway...better than a present for sure.

A White Day After Christmas
We woke up to a few inches of snow on the ground the day after Christmas! It snowed throughout the day and into the evening. I caught some cute pictures of Larry and the dogs looking out the window at the snow.

Christmas Day
We went over to Brad & Ryan's for Christmas dinner and presents. We had an awesome prime rib dinner with tons of veggies, potatoes, stuffing, etc. The boys received $100 bills frozen in ice; Grandma Sue "froze their assets!" Brad & Ryan gave the boys money in funny forms-Carson received a pinball machine where he had to win three times in order for the money to be released. Adam received a money gun that provided a lot of laughs! On our way home, it started to snow making it a kinda-white Christmas!
Christmas Morning
The boys were up fairly early (for them) and we were opening gifts by 8 a.m.! Of course, they were spoiled like crazy! Carson received clothes, new Nikes, Crocs, cash, gift cards, LED lights, and AirPod Pros. Adam received clothes, a portable blender, an oil change, a vintage mystery box, gift cards, LED lights, and an Xbox Series X.
Both boys were able to buy their own gifts this year which made Christmas just a little more special. The boys gave Larry some really nice long sleeved t-shirts from a store that he loves. Adam gifted Carson a Dwight blanket and Office mug. Carson gifted Adam an Xbox game after he opened his new Xbox. Carson gave me a really pretty 'K' necklace that I had been eyeing and Adam gave me a $25 Amazon gift card and Bath & Body Works hand soap. His card is what teared me up though. It was the sweetest.
Christmas Eve
We had a fun Christmas Eve with wonderful food and lots of laughter! We were short two chairs for the dinner table so Taylor sat in Trish or Nate's lap and Adam sat on a stool next to me. It was funny because everyone kept asking him to get items, etc. As per usual, soooo many gifts! I love watching Taylor open Care Bears, Barbies, and My Little Ponies. She said her favorite gift was a Barbie boat that we gifted her.
