Too many places to be!

Last night we had three places to be and only two parents!  We opted for Adam to stay with Larry at football practice and I would go with Carson to his open house.  We decided not to go to Adam's open house because we have been there/done that.

After practice, Adam asked Larry where I was and if we were going to his open house.  His open house was over and Larry felt bad.  Adam said he had worked really hard on a project and wanted to show us.

Larry told me what Adam said and I felt bad too.  I told Adam that we would go to the school first thing in the morning.  We got there and this is what I saw!  Isn't it cute???

First game

Adam had a lot of fans at his first game...Mom, Larry, Dad, Andria, Carson, Grandma Sue, Pop up, and Uncle Brad!  The Broncos didn't win, but they learned a lot!

Flag Football

A few weeks ago I heard about the local football program for kids.  I asked Adam if he was interested; he said he wasn't.  Then a few hours later, he said he would like to try it.  Two days later we were at football tryouts!  When we tried to sign him up they said that flag football was full, but they would put him on a wait list unless we knew someone who wanted to coach (as she looked at Larry).  Larry ended up volunteering.  The coaches have a full on draft!  They had their Ipads and laptops and poor Larry had my Costco advertisement to take notes on!  Ha!

Anyway, I'm the crazy Mom that has taken pictures at each practice!  Adam has already improved soooo much!  Tomorrow is the first game and I'm sure I will have about 100 pictures of that!

Craftastic!

Today was my only day off and I guess I was feeling domestic!

I made trail mix!  Larry has it almost daily in his lunch and I was buying pre-made packages that were pricey.  I decided to buy the ingredients myself and package it up myself.  He likes a simple variety...just almonds, cashews, and raisins.  I made it and put it in snack sized ziplock baggies.

Then I made little goodies that I saw on Pinterest and they turned out so cute!  They are yummy too!

Then I made wrapped little presents for my girls at work because work has been and will continue to be very crazy busy!

I also made ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, and salad for dinner!  Larry was wondering who this new wife was!  Ha ha ha!

First day of school

Carson started 6th grade and Adam started 3rd grade today!

Lunches were packed with care...

and we tried to comb his hair...

Picture upon picture had to be taken...

I had to say "Smile and no fakin'!"

This last picture is just too cute, his eyes are closed, but I love his little shadow!

They had a good first day and liked their teachers!

Here's to a great year of learning and growing!

Labor Day weekend

The boys spent the majority of the weekend with their Dad so Larry and I were on our own.

Saturday, we woke up and were pretty lazy, see?

Around 11 a.m., Larry said let's run to Portland so we got showered and headed that way.  We ended up at Washington Square!  Boy was it busy!  We even saw a flash mob!  We hit up The Cheesecake Factory for a late lunch where Larry had the biggest burrito I've ever seen!

We decided to go to the waterfront to walk/look around.  The Saturday market was closing up so we just took a leisurely walk while people watching.  We headed home before it got dark because we are not city people!  LOL!

Sunday was super lazy minus I hit up the grocery store, laundry, and preps for the boys school lunches.  I put everything for school lunches in a plastic bin so the boys stay out of it and to make my life easier.  I package up the crackers, etc. when I have time so they are ready to go for quick lunches!

Monday we decided to go for a bike ride.  We rode all over town, Larry estimates about 10 miles.  My butt is sore and proof of this!  Ha ha ha!

After our bike ride we relaxed at home, I finished up the laundry, and made dinner for the boys return home.  We went to bed super early!
