Happy Anniversary!

May 23, 2009

Today marks three years of marriage for Larry and I!

We both had to work, but I was sneaky and sent a package to Larry via our inner-office mail!  I also got him a cute card!

I was able to leave work early, change clothes, and head into Salem to meet up with Larry for dinner.  We went to the Outback!  It was yummy!  We had drinks, a bloomin' onion appetizer, salads, our meals, and Larry even had dessert.  I was way too full to even attempt dessert!

After dinner, we headed home.  I had a present waiting for me there!

He wrapped everything super cute!  I love damask!  I received money to go out to dinner, a movie gift card, the DVD "The Vow", and a docking station for my Iphone!  Spoiled!  I told Larry I was going to work the gift into two date nights; one with the money/movie gift card and one at home with the DVD!

I made a cake, but we didn't eat it due to being so full from The Outback.  I will probably never make another cake!  Way too much work!  LOL!  The three layers are our wedding colors!  Plus, three layers for three years!  I'm a dork!

We watched the season finales of a few shows...American Idol and Modern Family.  I decided we needed a picture of us together so we took one.  Not when I was in a dress at the restaurant, but at home in pajamas!  It's typical of us!

Mother's Day weekend

On Friday, Larry learned that he got a new position at work that he had interviewed for earlier in the week.  I had purchased him the Iphone to give him on our anniversary, but it showed up on Friday and I figured he needed it right away!

Saturday, I had to work and then we had a low key afternoon/evening of yard work, making potato salad for the next day, and watching t.v.

Sunday, I received some Mother's Day cards/goodies from all of my boys.

Our Mom's came over for a barbecue; we had steak, corn on the cob, potato salad, and strawberry shortcake.  The Mom's opened their presents and we had a relaxing afternoon.

I had Monday off (after a meeting) so I treated myself to a pedicure and manicure!  I did other important stuff like organize the foot high mail pile and go to Zumba.  It was a pretty low key day also.

May!

On Friday I was weighed and measured for part of a 30 day challenge I started in April.  I lost 9 lbs. and all 9 lbs. were body fat.  I lost several inches too.  I was very proud of myself; I am very proud of myself.  My Mom was so sweet and brought me a cute little plant and vase.

We have a lilac bush in our front yard that is blooming right now.  The blooms are pretty so I decided to cut a few to enjoy inside!

Saturday was a pretty lazy day.  I took the boys to the grocery store.  I told Carson if he returned the pop cans, he could have the money so he did that while Adam and I did the shopping.  I came out and he was only 2/3 done.  A gentleman that gave all of his cans/bottles to Carson.  I helped him for a bit.  Carson earned $9 and Adam earned $1 for his help.  I took the boys and groceries home and then ran to Curves to work out.  Larry sprayed the yard for weeds.

Then we watched Jurassic park and napped for a couple hours.  Adam learned how to make Top Ramen correctly and we just hung out.  Larry went to band practice and the boys and I continued with our hanging out.

On Sunday, Larry did a little yard work while I planted seeds to place in a garden.

We walked/biked to the playground.  Larry tried to teach the boys to flip out of swing and other important stuff!  Carson got on top of the playground equipment all on his own!

Laid back weekend all around.  Hard to believe the first week of May is already over!
