For Christmas Adam bought a plane ticket to come see us! Definitely a GREAT present! He flew into La Paz this time instead of Cabo. This was so nice as the La Paz airport is truly five minutes from our house. His trip here had a hiccup though because he missed his connecting flight in Guadalajara. This means he spent an extra nine hours in Guadalajara and we spent some extra money booking him another flight. He finally arrived Saturday evening (instead of early morning) and was ready to shower and relax. He got that shower in, we chit chatted, and Larry made an amazing dinner (steak, mushrooms. and potatoes).
Sunday started out slow with relaxing. Adam and I ventured out to Walmart for a few items (he bought a t-shirt), the gas station, and a few segundas. We came home and had a few beers on the roof. The boys had a lot more beers after I went to bed.
Monday afternoon we went down to the malecon and ate at Mucho Gusto. Amazing nachos and tacos! We looked in a few shops; Larry bought stickers and Adam bought bracelets. We visited Black Diamond Tattoo to set up appointments for later in the week.
Tuesday we went to the beach at El Coromuel. We had some very yummy drinks and food. It was warm enough to get in the water, so we did. Lots of fish in the water. Larry fed the birds by throwing crackers on Adam and I while sunbathing. LOL! Adam did get a sunburn though.
Wednesday we worked on some adultling tasks for Adam such as renewing the registration for his car, ordering contacts, and obtaining all of his tax information to complete taxes. After all that adulting, we thought a foot massage/soak was in order, so we did that! Ha ha ha!
Thursday, I woke up feeling sick....stuffed up and feverish. The boys had an appointment at the tattoo shop so I had all afternoon to rest. Larry got a tattoo on his left forearm. They came home and made chili cheese dogs for dinner.
Friday was very similar to Thursday, but it was Adam's turn for a tattoo. He got a skull on his right shoulder. Larry came home with a parking ticket on this trip. I made BBQ chicken and broccoli salad for dinner.
Saturday was super lazy, but we spent the evening on the roof. I went and picked up some pizzas so we hung out with pizza and beers. We went to bed early.
Sunday, we tried to go to El Coromuel again, but the roads were closed so we headed to Tesoro beach. We took a few pictures and decided the beach was too dead for us. We wanted food. Ha ha ha! We went on to Tecolote beach. We had a picnic of carne asada tacos, papas fritas (french fries), and chips with guacamole. We left fairly early, came home, and Larry decided to blow up the pool for the doggies. Shadow was pretty cute and actually got in! He also tried to go home with Adam in his suitcase. We filed Adam's taxes and ran to Carl's Jr. for burgers and milk shakes.
Yesterday, Adam was off early to fly home. I hate not knowing when we will see him again. Even though we were both sick this visit and didn't do a lot, it was fun just hanging out and being together.
