Random Night Out

Last night, we went over to Trisha's to see her new place.  We had some drinks on her back porch and the weather actually cooperated.  Taylor fell asleep in my lap and was super cute.  We ended up going over to Katrina's for dinner.  Corey and Melody where there and on our way out, Larry posed on Corey's bike.  It was pretty funny!  We were home by 10 p.m.  Not a crazy night at all.

Night Out

We went out with Corey and Melody last night and they gave Larry a smoker for his Birthday.  He was very excited about that!  We hit up The Victory Club for drinks and street tacos (sweet tacos if you were to ask Larry) and had a fun time.  They had St. Patrick's Day celebrations going on so we got in on the four leaf clover light up necklaces!  By the end of the evening, Larry had drank a lot of beer and was feeling it!  He was hilarious!

Fiddler on the Roof

Carson just finished up a two week run of Fiddler on the Roof!  He played Tevye and practiced for months.  He had a ton of lines and songs to memorize and perfect!  He did a wonderful job and without sounding too biased...he was INCREDIBLE!  The whole cast was!  I'm always amazed at how well they do!  I should just know they are going to be outstanding!  I was a very proud Mama!  The last show was a little sad...last show as a senior, but such is life....

After the final show, they had a cast party where Carson shaved off his beard!  Thank goodness!  The following day he got a haircut and just like that I got my 18 year old son back!  Ha ha ha!

Lastly, Carson got so many bouquets and flowers throughout the show, but especially the last night!  People he didn't know were bringing him roses...so nice!  My Mom made him the cutest chocolate chip cookie/chocolate bar bouquet too!  Larry and I took him a red rose bouquet the first night we saw the show and a sunflower bouquet on the last night.  Well, the little stinker got me pink roses on the last night.  I was shocked and asked why; he responded with "For being a good Mom!"  Awww...!

Award

On Friday night, we went to the Community Awards.  It was one of those nights where nothing went quite right...Larry couldn't come because he was sick.  My Asst. Manager and his wife couldn't come because they had a death in their family.  So, Debbie and I went and had a great time.  Debbie and I have worked together for over ten years now and have been to several of these events...and we NEVER win!  EVER!  So, we went and I even stayed in my flats because there is no way I would have to go up front and accept an award  Boy, was I wrong!  WE WON!  We were both shocked!

I went up and gave some sort of speech.  Ha ha ha!  Then we basked in the glory and received lunch and flowers from our credit union.  We have our plaque on display.  We were even in the local paper!  

Larry's 50th Birthday Party

We had a little get together for Larry's Birthday at Valkyrie Wine Tavern on Saturday night.  I was good about pictures for the first hour or so and then...I failed.  Randomly, most of Larry's friends couldn't make it, but their wives did.  I joked that that's right up Larry's alley...all women!  He received several cards and had a lot of Corona's!  It was a fun night.
