Our Anniversary Weekend

The day before our anniversary, I had my nails done all "anniversary" like!  Ha ha ha!  We also opened our gifts that day because I can't stand to wait!  I gave Larry the money for new wheels for his car and he gave me a Fit bit, a massage gift card, and an Ulta gift card.

The next morning (Saturday, May 23rd...our actual anniversary) we got up early and headed towards the coast.  We stopped at Pig N Pancake in Lincoln City for breakfast and then went to the outlet mall.  We had fun at the outlets!  Larry bought a leather jacket that was normally $700 for $159!  I got a jacket too, some shorts, some shirts, a pair of jeans, and a pair of shoes!  Told you I had fun!

After shopping, we headed towards Newport to find our hotel.  They let us check in early so we got our stuff settled and hung out for a bit.  We decided to go to Georgie's for dinner which was in the same parking lot as our hotel.  I had steak and Larry had prime rib.  It was super delicious.  After dinner, we got in our jacuzzi tub and talked for hours.

The next morning, we went to Georgie's again for breakfast.  Then we checked out the shops in Newport, went to Ripley's Believe It Or Not, went to the Undersea Gardens, and enjoyed the bay front.  We also checked out Devil's Punchbowl where a squirrel let Larry pet it!  Crazy!  We headed back to our hotel to swim in the pool and sit in the hot tub.  It was very crowded so we went back to our room to read and relax.  We went to Chalet for dinner for something easy and fast.  Georgie's was an hour and fifteen minute wait!  Holiday weekend busy!!!

Monday morning we got up, got dressed, and packed.  We took a walk on the beach and then headed home.  It was a fast, but fun weekend!

Trisha's Ultrasound

Trish invited me to her ultrasound today to "see" baby Taylor.  Ultrasounds have advanced in the past 11 years!  Most notably a t.v. for the patient to look at.  Trisha's amniotic fluid is low which is something they want to keep an eye on at this point.  They can see Taylor's chin and nose bone, etc. so she doesn't have Down Syndrome or a cleft lip; this is very good news.  Plus she is growing at the rate she should be!

Mother's Day Weekend

Saturday, we had a luncheon to celebrate my Grandma Merrily's 92nd Birthday!  We had a great time and delicious food!  We got a picture of my Grandma with all her grandchildren and then one with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren!

Sunday, was Mother's Day and Larry cooked for all the Mom's!  Chicken, potatoes, corn on the cob, garlic bread, and cantaloupe!  It was amazing!  We had strawberry/raspberry shortcake for dessert.  The boys spoiled me with cards, a $50 Macy's gift card, and foot massages!  Most notable though?  I made the cover of People magazine!  Ha ha ha!
