Tattoo Date

We have been wanting to get tattoos of our anniversary date in roman numerals for over a year now.  We were so busy in Oregon that it didn't happen.  We finally made the time to go and do it.  Of course, we had to eat first.  We stopped at a cute cafe near the tattoo shop.

New Bar Cabinet

Larry put together our new bar cabinet today.  It had just a few pieces.  Ha ha ha!  The cabinet gives us more space in the kitchen with a place to put wine bottles, glasses, etc.

Tequila Tasting

We miss wine tasting so we decided to try tequila tasting!  The funniest part of the experience is when we were given our first micro-shot of tequila and the presenter asked us to describe what we were tasting.  My answer?  ALCOHOL!  I think he was looking for vanilla, mint, ginger, smoky, etc.  Ha ha ha!  We tried several tequilas that were paired with shrimp, steak, fruit, cheese, and lastly ants and grasshoppers.  I should point out-one shrimp, one bite of steak, etc.  This was definitely not dinner!  At the end of the evening we purchased two bottles of tequila and a bottle of mezcal.  Once we were done, we walked to Patio Peninsula on the malecon to have dinner and a few more drinks.

New Sign

My Mom brought our custom house numbers with her when she visited and Larry put them up today.  It's fun to add personalized items to our new house.  Of course, we had a doggy audience.

Mom Visits~June 10-17, 2023

Mom was our very first overnight visitor at our new house.  I promised her that she would be the first and stuck to it!  We had a fun week of chit chatting, sitting on the lounge chairs in the pool, visiting Balandra Beach, hanging out on our rooftop, checking out the malecon, and going to various restaurants.  Mom and I stopped for lunch one day and had large plates of fruit with nuts and smoothies.  It was odd because it looked like a restaurant, but was a popular fruit stand only.

Mom brought me a ton of licorice and a full checked bag of our purchases.  Things like taco seasoning and sugar skull throw pillows. Ha ha ha!

It was a quick, but full week.  Memories were made and it was time well spent together.
