Staycation Fun

I took a few days off for Christmas and with the holidays/weekends it ended up being 11 days off!  We were pretty lazy, but got out of the house a few times.

Larry and I went to World Market three days before Christmas!  It wasn't horrible, but it was definitely busy.  For our reward, we went to Gustav's for dinner!  I got my favorite drink...a pinetini mojito!

We gave Carson a personalized ornament for his Birthday back in November.  I don't think I posted it on his Birthday post, but wanted to document it here.

We had multiple lazy days at home, cuddling with dogs, and watching television (Netflix or football!).  The dogs sure are cute, especially Scout right now because he gets into some odd positions!

A few days after Christmas, we went to visit my Grandma who isn't doing the best.  We caught her at not the best moment and it wasn't a good visit.  She did recognize me, kiss my hand, and told me she loved me so that was good.  It was just hard.  After that, we decided to head to the mall and lunch.  Carson is 18, but we still have to check out the Lego store and Adam found an awesome sweatshirt at Dick's Sporting Goods!  Ha ha ha!  We went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch which is a favorite that we don't get to often enough.  My Mom went back to visit my Grandma two days later and she was sitting up and in a much better place.

Another fun outing was going to Bjornson Vineyard with Brad and Ryan.  We were there for over five hours, had two meat and cheese trays, and just enjoyed our visit.  Plus, we had wine!  I took one picture!  I really wish I would have taken a group picture, but was in the moment I guess.

Christmas Day

We went to my Brother's new house to celebrate Christmas with my side of the family.  I took a whole THREE pictures.  Ha ha ha!  We had a nice dinner of beef roast, mashed potatoes, gravy, salad,  and crescent rolls.  We chatted for hours and my Mom gave the boys the cutest money wreaths.

Christmas Morning

Carson and I were awake first and patiently waited for over an hour for Adam and Larry to wake up.  Eventually, Carson woke up Adam and I woke up Larry.  The boys emptied their stockings and opened presents.  All the cards in the tree are small gift cards to local restaurants and fast food places.  The boys love going off campus for lunch when school is in session.  The boys were spoiled with a ton of gifts, but I love being able to do that.

Larry and I made a deal to not exchange gifts, but I found the perfect gift for him...KISS tickets!  I wrote a paragraph in his Christmas card using all KISS song titles thinking I was being clever...he knew immediately what was up!

Christmas Eve

We had a fun Christmas Eve with Larry's side of the family.  Lots of food, laughter, and lovely gifts.  Taylor was super cute to watch, she loved all of her presents.

Christmas Choir Concert~Carson

We attended the Christmas choir concert last night and Carson had a beautiful solo.  There weren't many traditional Christmas songs, but it was still pretty to listen to.

Weekend Update

On Friday evening we went to the Christmas Cabaret for Carson's choir.  We heard a lot of beautiful Christmas music, had a lovely dessert, and participated in buying raffle tickets, etc.

Saturday night, we went to our work holiday party.  We had a fun time, but didn't win any prizes!  The food line was incredibly long, so we went to Taco Bell on our way home!  Ha ha ha!

Sunday, we prepared for the week with laundry, etc...and some laziness on the couch.
