Adam's Birthday

We celebrated Adam's Birthday a bit early this year with a sleepover last night. We are all still recovering from five VERY LOUD 10/11 year old's.

We had pizza, an ice cream bar at Adam's request, and pancakes for breakfast. The boys had plenty of snacks and Mt. Dew too. Adam received some nice gifts...new pajamas, an Xbox game, and lots of money this year!

Thanksgiving 2014

We had an extremely mellow Thanksgiving this year. The boys were with their Dad so it was just Larry and I in the morning. We did some online shopping and I went on a seven mile walk. We had a small breakfast and got ready to go over to my Mother-in-law's.

We got over there and Larry's uncle Curt was sick so it was just Renee, Trisha, Larry, and I. We had an excellent dinner though and just sat around talking/relaxing. I took all of two pictures! One of a cute platter Renee had and the other of Larry & I. He has some crazy facial hair going on right now as he is sort of participating in "No Shave November!" Bring on December please! Ha!

Carson's Birthday

Carson had a sleepover last night to celebrate his Birthday! He had six boys show up out of seven invited! Not too bad! We limited it to seven boys this year because last year was crazy! The boys this year were respectful and a better group all around. They stayed up all night, but weren't too crazy!

Carson let Adam hang out with them and Adam stayed up all night too! You can see that he finally crashed the next morning before breakfast at 9 a.m.! We ordered too many pizzas, they hardly ate the cake, and they loved Larry's pancakes! They devoured the chips, Mt. Dew, sour gummy worms, and Oreos!

Carson was super surprised to receive an iPhone 5s!

Fishing Fun!

On Saturday, we went to Hagg Lake and finally had some success with fishing! YAY!

It was actually pretty funny because my line got tangled and Larry was helping me to fix it when my pole seemed weird. I thought it was because of a knob he made me turn on my reel, but nope! I actually had a fish on! It was the first catch of the day and we had maybe been there 15 to 20 minutes! I had quite the girl moment afterwards with trying to pick it up and have my picture taken. The best I could do was pose next to the fish in the cooler. Ha!

We were getting kind of bored as quite some time had passed when Larry found a tiny fish floating in the water. We took a picture as a joke of his "catch!" Not five minutes later, he caught the second fish of the day. A short time later I caught our third and final fish of the day. We had great weather with zero rain! Not bad for November 8th!

Larry also saved a duck! We noticed a duck on land very close to us. Larry went to check him out and noticed he had fishing line wrapped around it's legs. He tried several times to catch him, but the duck was scared and waddled very quickly to the water where he could barely swim. We never saw him flap his wings or attempt to fly. After several attempts, Larry finally caught him and cut the line away. The line was wrapped around both his legs, one wing, and his full body. It also had a large hook attached to the line. We took all of this with us so another animal wouldn't get in the same sort of trouble.

My Birthday

My Birthday has been a full weekend of celebration!

It started last week when my Dad dropped by my work and gave me a card and money. Then on Friday my co-workers had mini cupcakes, a veggie tray, and pizza bites for me along with a card and gift card to Macy's.

Saturday, Larry gave me lotion/bubble bath/body spray from Bath and Body works, a gift card for a pedicure, and a large gift card for Macy's. This is especially cute because he went to several stores to get all these items and had a sweet card for me too. He hates buying cards, but he knows that I like them. The boys drew me a hilarious card where they offered to do chores, but at only certain times. Carson "graciously" gave a one minute foot rub, where Adam gave an hour foot rub. Ha ha ha! My Brother stopped by with a card and coffee gift card. My Mother-in-law stopped by with a card, money, and homemade treats.

Larry took me to dinner at Macedonia Greek Cuisine where Corey and Melody met us. They gave me a bottle of lemon drop drink mix. We had a really yummy dinner with appetizers, dinner, and dessert!

Last, but definitely not least, my Mom took me shopping and out to lunch today. My Mom had a present waiting in the car for me....a flower necklace I had been eyeing for months, a purple Christmas tree ornament, and the promise to plant tulip bulbs in my front yard! I love all of it! Tulips are my favorite and they will be so fun to have in my yard come spring!

We had such a fun time shopping! We spent the first two and half hours of our day in Macy's! I think 30 minutes of that was me stuck in a boot due to a zipper malfunction. The sales associate left to find scissors, but luckily another customer told her to use a pencil as the graphite loosens metal. After that, I tried on several items and ended up purchasing a pair of boots, a DKNY wool coat, a pair of black slacks, jeans, a skirt, a pair of shorts, and a sweater!

We went to The Cheesecake Factory for lunch as my Mom and I both love their chicken salad sandwich! Seriously, it's to die for! We looked around in Nordstroms and I bought a cute initial pendant I had been wanting.

It was a great Birthday weekend where I felt super spoiled and loved!
