Larry is the big 4-0 today!
I had black balloons sent to his work, I'm sure he loved that! LOL! He hates attention like that and I do think this Birthday is bugging him a little.
Tonight I'm making ham, scalloped potatoes, and broccoli for dinner; all of his favorites. The boys are at their Dad's this evening so it will be just the two of us. I have gifts for him too! I hope he likes his GPS. I'm really unsure about it.
Besides that we plan to watch Survivor, CSI, and American Idol. A pretty normal night for us...
***I will post pictures later if I remember!***
EDITED TO ADD:
He loved the GPS and is playing with it as we speak...errr...I mean type. Dinner was excellent. We had champagne too and boy does that stuff make you tipsy!

Monday Monday...
Have you ever felt like you have so much to do that you don't know where to start?
ME ME ME!!!
I have house cleaning, laundry, lunches to make, wedding plans, etc. and I just want to sit here and be lazy! I haven't even purchased a Birthday gift or card for Larry yet and his Birthday is in 3 days! I'm a planner and this is so UNLIKE me! I'm blaming the rain! I don't even have a plan in place of what to get him. UGH! I'm thinking about a GPS, but I know nothing about that stuff and does he really need a GPS...? This is not good. He needs new clothing for work, but that's kind of boring.
***UPDATE: I just ordered a GPS on-line and it cost $25 for 2 day shipping! I hope it's the right thing!
Seriously though, I need to get busy! I did start tanning (I know it's bad for me, but I don't want to be an albino bride!) and Larry put money towards my wedding band. We have to pick it up this weekend because there is a sale this weekend. I'm so excited to get the band. Only three months until I get to wear it!
Three months!
I need to get busy...
Linens
Food
Shoes (which I need before my dress fitting, but I can't seem to find the perfect shoes!)
Working out (blah!)
Shells & Sand for centerpieces
wrapping silverware
These are just a few of the hundreds of things that fly through my brain throughout the day or at night when I can't sleep.
Larry and I are tentatively planning going to Europe in August 2010 for a late honeymoon/1st anniversary trip. I think this is a lovely idea, but I admit that I'm nervous about the communication part of things. I don't know any french or whatever the heck they speak there. I'm terrible with geography and had to look up where in the world Paris and London were.
The boys told me the other day that I'm mean. Talk about hurting my feelings. They said that Daddy is more fun! :( Of course he is! He doesn't have to do their laundry or make them do homework. He gets to do all the fun things and I swear he buys them a new toy every weekend they are there. It's frustrating because I'm the one buying clothes, shoes, paying for insurance, paying for daycare, etc. He gets to do the fun stuff and I get the responsible stuff. I truly hope they realize this someday. With that said, I'm planning to take them to the aquatic center this afternoon. Sounds cold just saying it, but I'm sure we will have fun.
Okay, I need to do some laundry switching and online shopping for a Birthday gift...

Valentines' Weekend~Part II
Saturday (Valentine's Day) we were lazy most of the day, we surfed the internet and watched t.v., but I did make the most amazing treat!

Don't they look yummy? They are absolutely delicious!
Don't let Carson's face confuse you!

Adam's response is more like it! LOL!

We gave the boys' their Valentine candy...

They loved the candy, of course!
Late afternoon came and we took the boys over to my Mom's to spend the night. As Larry and I left there, I called the Outback to get our name on their list. This was the smartest move! We got there and there were A LOT of people waiting; we heard the hostess tell someone it was a 60-70 minute wait! We waited less than a minute when we our little buzzer vibrated! Larry said we got a lot of dirty looks, but we felt like VIP's for 10 whole seconds! LOL! We had a bloomin' onion, seared ahi tuna (not sure if I'm spelling that right, but neither of us liked it), and our dinner's.
After dinner we headed to Target to register. It was a lot of fun! We looked and scanned items for over two hours!!! It felt like shopping without spending money! Ha ha! We debated registering for a Dyson vacuum because they are so darn expensive, but we ended up putting it on our list.
Then we went to the theater and saw Confessions of a Shopaholic. Very cute movie! Larry had popcorn and I had an Icee and we shared my licorice! LOL! You know I love someone when I share my licorice with them! LMAO!
Came home, went to bed, and slept in until 10:30 a.m.!
Today is a relax day. I do need to do some laundry and actually make dinner, but other than that we have nothing going on!

Valentine's weekend~part I
I had a pretty busy day at work, I was tellering in the drive thru on a Friday so I was earning my keep around there today. I was delighted to see a man walk through the door with this...
Isn't Larry the sweetest??? I think so!
Anyway, I had to give him his presents since I already got mine!
He loved Electronic Banking Monopoly and the DVD Saw V; and yes he really did LOVE the ugly dolls too!
The boys got tons of Valentine's and candy between school and daycare.
I have oatmeal in the crockpot for breakfast tomorrow and Larry and I have plans to go to Salem for dinner, a movie, and registering at Target.

Kitchen craftiness
I put the following ingredients together:
cut up chicken breast
carrots
broccoli
chopped cilantro
chopped garlic
salt
pepper
a teensy butter
I wrapped all the ingredients in foil and the foil packages (I made two, one for each of us) are currently broiling in the oven.
Here is the raw footage! LOL!
I will let you know how it turns out...
Frustration
Yesterday was kind of a crappy day. I almost made a blog entry, but I realized it would just come out as a total bitch fest. That would have been okay because this is MY blog, but I just didn't feel like being bitchy.
I've been sick for a few weeks now...the cough will not go away. It's draining. Very draining. All I have wanted to do is sleep. I don't have time to sleep all of the time. I have kids, Larry, laundry, dishes, etc. to take care of.
Then add in that work is way short staffed. I really don't mind working extra hours or tellering. It's something different and makes the time go by extra fast, but it is tiring especially when I'm not feeling 100%! Wearing heels while standing all day doesn't help either. Yesterday's post would have bitched about people who don't speak English, yet they live in America, but I will let that one go. It also would have mentioned people's f*cked up finances, but we will let that one go too. How's that for some passive aggresive bitching?
I came home and read the Sandals catalog I received in the mail...and drooled. How I would love to go to Jamaica or Costa Rica or anywhere warm for that matter. It's just not realistic or practical at this point. Let's just say it was not the right day to get this catalog with over 100 pages of white sandy beaches and turquiose blue water. It just made me feel sorry for myself that we can't afford to go there. Now, keep in mind that Larry and I have been to Canada twice and Denver so it's not like we are deprived. I just want to go somewhere warm and tropical. I need a vacation. LOL! I need something like that to look forward to when I don't get a lunch until 4 in the afternoon and it's all of 15 minutes long.
Add in stress of paying for a/planning a wedding, getting taxes done, the day to day grind of getting the boys to school/daycare/karate/Dad's house/etc. and yeah....that's where I was.
I ended up going up to bed around 8:30 and slept until like 8:30 this morning. 12 whole hours! I must have really needed it! I feel a lot better, but I still have this nagging cough that won't go away. I have to be at work every day this week so if it doesn't go away, I will go to the Dr. on Saturday.
Anyway, it feels good to get all of that out of my head...

Superbowl Sunday in pictures...
Tom (impersonating Larry) and Heidi
Their son, Zack
Adam
Larry and I
Trisha and Carson were here too, but they seemed to miss the photo opportunities! The game was pretty boring minus the 4th quarter. We liked the Doritos and E-trade (talking baby) commercials. We were rooting for the Cardinals, but they just didn't have the defense!
