Anniversary

Larry and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary this week!  The actual day was Thursday, but we went out to dinner last night to celebrate.
I gave Larry the LCD screen he wanted for his Go Pro Hero camera along with some dress socks, boxer briefs, and white athletic socks.  I also snuck an orange Crush in his car on our actual anniversary!  He game me perfume, body cream, and cream crochet Tom's.  We opened our gifts early because that's the way we are!  Ha!

We got dressed up and went to the Melting Pot in Portland last night.  We had such a good time!  We were sat in a cute little booth that had a curtain giving us privacy and they gave us an anniversary card.  We ordered drinks and decided to have the 4 course dinner.
We were first given a cheese fondue with bread, broccoli, and apples for dipping.  It was delicious!  Then we each had a salad, Larry had the house salad and I had the Caesar salad.  Then our main course came.  I chose a steak lover's plate and Larry had lobster, chicken, and steak.  They brought out the raw meats along with potatoes, broccoli, and mushrooms that you cook in the boiling broth.  We were surprised at how filling this was!  We were so full and then they brought out a chocolate fondue for dessert!  We were given strawberries, bananas, rice krispie treats, brownie bites, cheese cake, Oreo covered marshmallows, etc. to dip in the chocolate.  Delicious!!!

90

Yesterday we celebrated my Grandma's 90th Birthday!  We had a fun time and I think she had an even better time!  She received several cards and flowers.  The cake was delicious and the turn out was pretty amazing.

Shopping spree

Yesterday I took the boys to Target and Best Buy because they had money burning a hole in their pockets!!!  Money they have been saving for almost six months!

Carson has been wanting an iTouch for quite some time.  His Birthday and Christmas money didn't cover the $180 price tag so he had to do yard work at home and Grandma's house to earn extra cash.  After he saved for so long, we bought him a case for his new iTouch.  He was in heaven last night and played with it all night long.

Adam bought four smaller things...A Call of Duty cheat book, Microsoft points, Turtle Beach headphones, and an Xbox game.  He was in heaven too!  I thought he might be jealous of Carson's iTouch, but so far I don't see any signs of that!

Mother's Day

I had a wonderful Mother's Day yesterday.  The boys were at their Dad's for the weekend, but we planned for them to come home at noon.  Larry made me breakfast in bed and I watched old school Beverly Hills 90210's.  The boys came home and I received my gifts...black glitter Tom's and a coupon book from Adam.  The coupon book is so funny because the pre-printed coupons are items like "Vacuum the floor" and "Clean my room" and the ones that Adam had to write in are "Watch a movie", "Play outside", and "Take a walk."  I think that is hilarious!

We were pretty darn lazy all day long!  We ordered pizza for dinner.  I received about a three minute foot massage from Carson.  We watched the Survivor finale (still one of my favorite shows!).  Very relaxing day!

Celebrating our Mom's

Last night we had a little BBQ for my Mom and Larry's Mom to celebrate Mother's Day.  Larry made steak, lobster, and strawberry shortcake.  I made potato salad and watermelon.  We had a really good time and sat outside chatting for a few hours.  The food was excellent!!!  We gave each Mom a bird feeder and a huge hanging basket of flowers.

School stuff-Adam

This week was Teacher Appreciation week and we decided to give Adam's teacher a little present.  My Mom made the card for us and believe it or not, Starbucks has teacher gift cards!

A few months ago we learned that Adam's school will be closing at the end of the year and he will have to go to another school.  The school district sent out letters the other day stating what school each child will go to.  That letter came on a day where we didn't check the mail...of course.

Before I knew all of this, I had a missed call from the school one morning so I called back.  I was transferred to Adam's classroom and he was anxious because all the other kids were talking about where they were going to school and he wanted to know too!  I explained that I hadn't checked the mail and didn't know, but we would find out that afternoon.  I went home during lunch so Adam could find out right away after school where he was going.  I'm not posting the school's name here for his safety, however I'm pleased with where he is going.  My brother and I went to the same elementary school.  Adam is still warming up to the idea, but I think it's just because change is hard for anyone.  He has attended his current school for four years.

May

It's May and the weather warmed up quickly this spring!  We worked in our yard this past week/weekend to get the pool ready.  I should say that Larry got the pool ready and Carson did some weeding to earn a little money.  I weeded our garden, but have yet to plant anything.  I need to get on that!
