Ranger Weekend

Ranger's Birthday is April 30th.  He turned two this year.  We kind of dedicated the weekend to him!

On Saturday, we drove to the beach so he could experience the beach for the first time.  He was in heaven and pulled Larry for the full 45 minutes that we were on the sand.  He jumped waves, sniffed tide pools, found a dead seagull, tasted salt water, and tried to chase birds.  He even led Adam through a deeper than thought pool of water where Adam tripped and fell.  Fun stuff!

We headed home fairly early so we could barbecue at home.  Larry cooked steak, macaroni salad, and garlic bread.  Even Ranger had a little steak action!  We had chips and drinks too.  Speaking of drinks...I had to take a picture of my huge cider compared to Larry's tiny Corona!  Ha ha ha!

Today, was a pretty low key day.  We did our normal chores around the house, etc.  We let Ranger have his presents and cake.  He was a happy doggy!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Ranger Danger!

Wine Weekend

Last June, our bid won a wine tasting and tour at Ankeny Vineyard which we finally took advantage of!  We had Brad & Ryan and Mitchell & Amy come along too.  We were there for hours enjoying the tour and then we stayed for pizza and more wine.  It was a very laid back place with a cute black lab named Lily running around.  We ended up in Albany for dinner with Mitchell and Amy.

Sunday, was our typical relax, laundry, prepare for the upcoming week, and take cute pictures of Ranger day!

Easter Weekend

My tulips are budding, standing tall, and look gorgeous.  Saturday, while Larry trimmed a tree I admired and took a few pictures of said tulips.  Besides that it was a pretty low key Saturday...I worked, we ordered pizza, we watched Netflix.

We were able to sleep in on Sunday morning and then the boys checked out their baskets!  A lot of the items in their baskets are needed spring/summer wardrobe items.  Spoiled kids though!

In the afternoon, we had Easter dinner at my Mom's house.  My uncle and aunt were there.  My brother was there.  My cousin Patrick was there.  My Grandma was there.  Did I take one picture of a person?  NO!!!  I did take pictures of my Mom's cute centerpiece though....oh and the napkins!  Seriously!

Last, but not least is the cute little basket that I put together for Taylor....in a unicorn theme of course!!!
